La victoire devrait se jouer entre Big Ranger, qui arrive dans des conditions optimales sur son objectif de la saison avec le très habile Tim Tetrick à son sulky, et Apex, affûté par Marcus Melander, qui aura l'avantage de s'élancer à l'intérieur de notre favori. Ils devront se défaire de Endurance, irréprochable cette saison, qui n'a pas été gâté avec ce numéro 7 derrière les ailes de la voiture, et de It Could Be Worse, qui comptera sur son pilote Scott Zeron pour prendre le bon dos en début de parcours. La surprise pourrait venir de American Power, second atout de Marcus Melander dans ce Groupe I, qui va subir la course avec ce numéro 10 derrière la voiture.
