Après un début de saison remarquable, Holiday Well, qui excelle sur ce genre de tracés, trouve une tâche à sa portée et une très belle occasion de renouer avec la victoire. Néanmoins, face à Hotkatissime, de retour sur la piste de son ultime succès et confié au talentueux Benjamin Chauve-Laffay, la partie n'est pas gagné d'avance. L'athlétique Gibole de l'Elle a son mot à dire pour une place sur le podium, comme Hélium de l'Iton, à condition qu'il se montre appliqué d'un bout à l'autre du parcours. De retour sur le sable, Hand Dairpet peut accrocher une place, à l'image de Flambeur Royal, performant sans ses quatre fers.
